Systech strengthens Australia management structure
Australia is a key growth region for Systech and we now have offices established in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. In addition, our incorporation application for Systech Law should allow us to practice in-country from June.
With a 40 strong team in Australia and a long term work pipeline, we have boosted the strength and depth of our management structure with appointments in a number of key positions being filled by the relocation of existing staff and the re-joining of previous directors.
Phil Walker, Frazer Beggs, Gavin Murphy and Oliver Greenwood will work closely with Paschal Baugh, our Regional Director, as well as David Smith, Director, and Mike Zambelli, Non-Executive Director, under the leadership of Group Managing Director, Stephen Rayment.
Phil Walker – Regional Director, Victoria and South Australia
Phil will be joining the Australia Senior Management Team as Regional Director, Victoria and South Australia. He will continue to work from his present location with us in Japan whilst the current border closures are in place, liaising closely with Paschal Baugh, David Smith and Oliver Greenwood to provide commission oversight. Phil, who re-joined Systech in 2017 after a spell with the Major Projects Advisory Group at KPMG, has worked for us in the UK, UAE and Japan.
Frazer Beggs – Director, Queensland
Frazer has re-joined the business as our director responsible for Queensland. He first worked for us from 1996 in Hong Kong and later was our Brisbane based director in Australia, so he is returning to a role he knows very well
Gavin Murphy – Systech Law and West Australia
Gavin has re-joined the business as our director responsible for West Australia. Once incorporated, he will also lead Systech Law’s operations across Australia, supported by Global Managing Partner Tom Allen, and working closely with his legal colleagues in Japan and South Korea. Gavin previously worked with us in South Africa from 2016.
Oliver Greenwood – Director, Victoria
Oliver has been successfully leading our team appointed on the North East Link Project in Melbourne and we are very pleased to promote him to a director. Oliver initially joined the business in the UK before relocating to Australia.
