Why Chinese clients choose Systech

We are a global construction consultancy with more than 30 years’ experience supporting contractors, clients and project stakeholders worldwide. We provide services across the full project lifecycle, from contract drafting and procurement advice, through to project controls, claims management, dispute resolution and legal support.

We provide integrated, multidisciplinary services that cover commercial, planning, claims, and legal support. By offering these from a single provider, we ensure efficiency, accountability and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.

  • About Systech in China

Systech began working in the Asia Pacific region in 1995, initially in Japan before branching out to include China, Korea and south-east Asia.

Our multi-disciplinary team delivers expert advice and practical support across a wide range of sectors, including:

    • Infrastructure
    • Transportation (road, rail, airports, ports)
    • Oil and gas
    • Power and energy
    • Industrial and process
    • Environmental (offshore wind turbines, carbon capture, flue gas desulfurisation)
    • Water and wastewater
    • Buildings (commercial, residential, healthcare, education)
    • Mining and natural resources
    • Shipping and marine
    • Aircraft

Building on our initial success in the region, our presence in China is coordinated from our Beijing office, enabling us to actively engage with many Chinese contractors. We support Chinese firms both domestically and in overseas markets, helping them manage complex projects with a focus on risk management, profitability, and sustainability.

We have found strong demand not only for dispute resolution services, but also for broader risk management support, including contract advisory, proactive dispute avoidance and customised training programs.

As the market continues to evolve, our multi-disciplinary practice, with its global footprint, allows us the scalability to grow alongside our Chinese partners.

Note: for work undertaken in China, Systech works with our partner, Saisida (SSD) consulting.
  • How we support you

We understand the high standards expected by major Chinese firms and the importance of delivering projects efficiently, compliantly and without dispute.

As a multi-disciplinary practice (MDP), our comprehensive support spans the full project lifecycle, with particular focus on the pre-contract phase, where the foundation for successful delivery is established. Our services include:

    • Pre-contract planning: baseline scheduling, procurement advice, contract reviews and training.
    • Project controls: schedule management, cost management, risk management and governance.
    • Claims and dispute resolution: forensic delay analysis, quantum assessments, negotiation and expert witness services.
    • Contract delivery support: contract management, NEC4 and FIDIC contracts experience, progress monitoring, project controls.
    • Strategic and advisory services: commercial advice, Dispute Adjudication Boards (DABs), independent advisory experts.

In addition, Systech Law offers UK-trained and regulated construction lawyers, providing both contentious and non-contentious services such as contract drafting, joint venture agreements, dispute boards, arbitration, and litigation.

This multi-disciplinary practice model means we can support Chinese contractors from project concept to completion with a preventative, risk-aware approach.
